Man vs. Machine

Sony Pictures approached us to create a real-time multiplayer game to promote the Terminator franchise and build anticipation for the international release of Terminator Salvation. Our goal was to immerse gamers the world over in the battle-torn year of 2018 – expanding the film’s arresting environment onto your computer screen (without spoiling any plot secrets).

We love evolving our multiplayer gaming engine…so Terminator Salvation is packed with rich 3D graphics, full motion video sequences and real-time action. Explosive warfare and badass machines bring you deep into this post-apocalyptic land, as does John Connor (Christian Bale), whose voice welcomes you with an ominous greeting. In short, we delivered a console game experience within a web browser.

To drive a worldwide audience to Terminator Salvation, we localized the game in 12 languages. We also integrated a partner registration tool to allow for game registration through Sony’s third party partners. Pitting players as Resistance Fighters (humans) or Machines, we let teams of five on five fight to bring down the opposition. Depending on whose side you’re on, the annihilation or salvation of mankind is in your hands. Good luck.
