Giving candy a voice that can't be ignored.

When Skittles approached us about redesigning their website to elevate their digital presence, it wasn’t long before the whole office was stuck on a whispering loop of ‘taste the rainbow.’ We wanted to create a platform to feed and amplify the enthusiasm people have for Skittles candy. With such an incredible fan base, we set out to reach the brand’s core audience through a holistic approach, engaging Skittles fans across multiple touch points including the 5 million on Facebook.

“Experience the Rainbow” defines the Skittles® brand presence in the digital landscape. Our plan to reach the brand’s core audience takes a holistic approach, engaging the Skittles brand fans across multiple touch points including the 5 million on Facebook.

Stream of Content

Skittles.com is driven by a never-ending stream of content. It rewards fans with the ability to scroll infinitely. Doing so reveals an endless color stream of bite-sized, shareable entertainment that conveys the brand from a natively digital perspective. The Rainbow Wars, which measure the relative popularity of flavors and colors via tweets, influence the color of the experience. The Skittles Facebook fan page creates an environment optimal for conversing or exploring the brand. Its newly launched Twitter presence celebrates the Rainbow as well as those who share a passion for what it represents.

In essence, we created a platform to feed and amplify the enthusiasm people have for Skittles candy. And the best part remains to come…
