Labs Relaunch

With the launch of the new Big Spaceship site comes a relaunch of our Labs blog, and we have invited our design team to join the party. Joining our posts about code and technology will be insights into our design team's approach, experiments, techniques and, perhaps most important of all, the close collaboration between the two disciplines. Stay tuned, and be sure to update the url for our RSS feed in your reader : feeds2.feedburner.com/bigspaceshiplabsfeed

I have to say I love your new site and your all of your work, I really find it inspiring. As much as I love your new site, I was hoping that your new site would be in flash. You're one of the most impressive flash agencies out there and you need to be a champion of the technology. Who says that flash cant be usable, accessible and search engine friendly? to throw some cheese into the mix- where there is a will, there is a way (sorry for that, had to be done):

@felix - I agree, a nice move. But I would like to say that I don't think a shift away from flash has anything at all to do with SEO.
I personally think full flash websites are hecka cool, but they draw away from the content. Far too much really. So for that reason I appreciate the shift to a nice traditional website.

Great site though, I'm especially loving the scissors header.

Hi there,

Nice new site and its been made very usable too.
My only comment is that the blog and labs in the header don't stand out, once your in either or it doesn't feel like your there.

so long flash - nice knowing you :) I understand there is a trend away from full flash sites for good reasons, however I'm surprised you guys and FI have *completely* removed flash from your own sites, considering the majority of your client work is building flash sites. Seems like a nice hybrid that combines some flash motion widgets with SEO optimized HTML would be a good way to go. Either way the new site looks great :)

This is a welcome move. That cross-disciplinary collaboration bit is very promising. Will there be any posts that focus on your workflow?
