Flash CS4 : Library issue

With Flash CS4 you may have noticed some changes to the Library. Adobe has done a good job with it this iteration notably with search functionality, the ability to drag the column headers to any width and the ever so useful ability to click into the Export field and edit directly the class you are exporting.

Except the last one fails if you are adding the class initially.

To test, double click into the field to add your class. Follow that up by right clicking and selecting 'Properties...' and you will see that the class is not set properly.

That is ... not at all. You know how long it took me to figure that one out? I dare not say.

The lesson here is to always always initially set the export class by using the 'Properties...' menu from right clicking the clip in the Library.

:)

I noticed another bug yesterday to do with the library. If you click on a Video on the Stage and click the "swap" button in the properties panel, you are only shown videos which are in the same folder (in the library) as you original file.

I couldn't work out why I could not see the other vids in the library, but when I dragged them into the same library folder, they magically appeared.

It's weird that you do get the same tree view dialog as when you click to swap an MC etc....

(yes I know I should not be using embedded FLVs, but they are short, and it is for an offline demo)

another bug is:
You try import any file in Flash CS4, and bring the locate file screen, when you ALT+TAB to find the path to file you need, the flash miss, and lock, u need to force close of aplication =/
