The Future of Magazines Should Look Like Spotify
Hamish McKenzie suggests that we build a platform for magazine content — breaking up stories and aggregating them into one simple app with the user experience in mind. This platform could allow readers to buy individual stories (think iTunes) or a subscription to the service (think Spotify and Netflix). An interesting take on print in the digital age – now we just have to wait for someone to build it.
Brining Pinterest to Life
A smart way of leveraging Pinterest for a brand, Kotex celebrated Women’s Inspration Day by picking 50 influential users and sending them customized gift boxes filled with the things that inspire them – based on what they pin. These 50 users shared the boxes using their social channels, creating over half a million brand impressions – excellent proof that picking the right group of influencers can be extremely effective.
