Will Wright is behind the interactive technology that will bring the series Bar Karma to life on Current TV in 2011. The sci-fi series will rely on Current TV members to collaboratively turn a basic outline for each 30-minute episode into a complete story, which the online channel will then produce.
Microsoft Tags 2 Billion Real-World Objects with its Phone-Friendly Barcodes
They may have arrived late to the smartphone-scannable barcodes game, but Microsoft has apparently differentiated their Tag barcodes from other QR code services in a tangible, profitable way by layering additional functionality on top of the basic, expected utility.
Cartelle Interactive Studio in Amsterdam created this highly entertaining mashup of Urban Dictionary and Google Images. In the process, they invented what might be the best possible way to go about browsing hilarious, random Internet memes.

Twitter Bot Trolls Global Warming Skeptics, Betters Hive Mind Intelligence
Scientist Nigel Leck has designed a twitter-bot that responds to tweets by global warming deniers, educating them with facts and linking to corresponding scientific articles. We did a Twitter search, which turned up a lot of retweets and #FFs- pretty impressive for a bot!
